Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and flexible Occasional AZ Driver to join our logistics team. This role offers the prospect to operate commercial vehicles on an as-needed basis, supporting our transportation and delivery operations. As an Occasional AZ Driver, you will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

This position is perfect for individuals with an AZ License and clean Drivers Abstract/CVOR history, that want to pick up the occasional shift floating equipment or picking up/delivering materials.

Duties

- Safely operate commercial trucks, including a 10 speed standard International 4400 with a 28' float trailer.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety and maintenance readiness, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges.

Skills





- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a logistics or warehouse setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for transporting goods.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly.
- Flexibility to work occasionally on short notice or outside regular hours as needed.
- Driving could include floating equipment, picking up materials, delivering materials to jobsites.
