About Zebra Therapy
Zebra Therapy is a holistic speech-language therapy provider operating in-clinic, in-home and virtually in the GTA and the Golden Horseshoe, with a focus on children 0-12. We have seen an increase in demand for Occupational Therapy services at our clinic, so we are looking to expand our clinic to include OT services. Our goal as an organization is to make the process of working as a therapist as streamlined and easy as possible, with minimal administrative duties as possible for you.
About the Position An Occupational Therapist at Zebra Therapy is responsible for assessing client needs, overseeing a caseload with sensory, motor and adaptive needs of clients - mostly children - and providing treatment. We are looking for an OT to come on-board contract, part-time to staff our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of prospective clients’ needs for possible treatment
- Planning and executing occupational therapy treatment
- Periodically providing progress reports to clients
- Recording assessment reports / treatment plans and therapy notes
- Helping to keep workspace clean, tidy and qualified-looking
- Collecting payment from clients when administrative help is not available
Requirements
- Master's degree in occupational therapy, from an recognized & accredited institution
- Must be willing to work evenings or Saturdays
- Must be a member of COTO in good standing
- Must have reliable transportation to our clinic in Dundas, Hamilton, Ontario
- Strong communication skills & fluency in English
Optional Assets
- Fluency in languages other than English
Commitment
- Hours & expectations to be mutually agreed upon by Zebra Therapy depending on the availability of the contractor
Compensation
- Varies on length & type of treatment; competitive fee schedule will be provided; average compensation rate is $116.68/hour on weekdays, $133.00/hour on weekends (we pay a higher rate for clinicians available to work on Friday evenings, Saturdays or Sundays)
Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $115.00-$133.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 30.0 per week
