Occupational Therapist (OT) – Calgary, Alberta

Higher Level Occupational Therapy (HLOT) is looking for a creative, collaborative, and culturally responsive Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Alberta.

The position is part-time, with flexibility around scheduling and the opportunity to provide services through a combination of virtual, community-based, and clinical appointments.

What Does a Day in the Life of an HLOT Occupational Therapist Look Like? No two days look exactly the same. Depending on your caseload and areas of interest, you may:

- Complete comprehensive OT assessments in clients’ homes, workplaces, communities, or virtually
- Develop individualized treatment plans using clinical reasoning and evidence-informed practice
- Support clients experiencing neurological, psychosocial,



mental health, and orthopedic challenges
- Work with clients to establish meaningful functional goals and build strategies to achieve them
- Facilitate interventions within real-world environments where barriers to participation occur
- Support clients with return-to-work, community reintegration, functional recovery, and participation in meaningful occupations
- Collaborate with employers, insurers, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders
- Provide education and recommendations to clients, families, and other members of the care team
- Build your practice in areas of Occupational Therapy that align with your professional interests and strengths

Qualifications

- A Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability and willingness to travel within the community, including rural areas when required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid time-management, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience facilitating psychosocial OT assessment and treatment
- Prolonged Exposure (PE) training
- Availability to provide services for a minimum of two weekdays per week

Pay: $60.00-$120.00 per hour
