C. About the role

We are looking for an organized, dependable Operations and Sales Intern to support our founder with sales activities and day-to-day business administration.

This opportunity is particularly suited to someone interested in building a career in sales, marketing or business development who wants practical experience inside an early-stage startup.

We prefer a current University of Toronto student based at the St. George campus. This is a preference, not a mandatory requirement.

You will help prospective learners understand Eklan, keep sales follow-ups moving and ensure that important administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Routine administration is a core part of this internship. You should be comfortable with data entry, scheduling, document formatting and recordkeeping, and take pride in doing these tasks carefully.

- Research potential customers, community organizations and partnership opportunities.
- Prepare outreach drafts, introductory materials and follow-up messages for review.
- Keep customer and prospect records accurate, including conversation notes and agreed next steps.

- Support the founder before and after sales meetings by preparing information and tracking follow-up actions.
- Help maintain simple reports showing enquiries, calls booked and progress toward enrolment.

Provide operational and administrative support

- Coordinate calendars, meetings and routine business correspondence.
- Organize documents, spreadsheets and shared folders.
- Complete data entry, update records and check information for accuracy.
- Prepare meeting notes and track agreed actions.
- Help coordinate learner onboarding and respond to straightforward administrative questions.
- Support event preparation, presentations and other day-to-day business tasks.
- Identify small improvements that make recurring work easier and more reliable.

Contribute to marketing activities

- Gather customer questions and feedback to help improve our messaging.
- Research relevant communities, events and outreach opportunities.
- Assist with campaign preparation, content coordination and basic results tracking as needed.

E. What we are looking for

- An interest in developing a career in sales, marketing or business development.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Confidence communicating professionally with prospective learners and team members.
- Willingness to complete routine and repetitive administrative work reliably.
- Comfort using email, calendars, documents and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions when something is unclear and follow through on commitments.
- Discretion when handling customer information and internal business materials.

- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from feedback.

Previous professional experience is not required. Experience through student societies, volunteering, retail, customer service, campus events or personal projects can demonstrate the skills we value. F. Preferred background

- A current University of Toronto student based at the St. George campus.
- Interest in entrepreneurship, healthcare, education or technology.
- Experience organizing activities, coordinating people or managing records.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management tools or a willingness to learn.
- Availability for an agreed, consistent working schedule.

Students from any academic discipline are welcome to apply. G. What you will learn
