Responsibilities

- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures at the front desk
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for patient appointments
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic to accurately document patient information and clinical notes
- Assist optometrists during eye exams by performing preliminary tests and measurements
- Educate patients on optical products, lens options, and basic eye health practices to support retail sales efforts
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient communications efficiently




- Support pediatrics patients with gentle care and age-appropriate explanations to foster comfort and trust

Requirements

- Prior experience working in a medical office environment or optical setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems like Epic or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and general healthcare practices
- Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience at the front desk handling scheduling, billing, and customer service tasks
- Basic understanding of optical products, retail sales, and sales techniques is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children in pediatric settings
