Role Description The Outside Sales & Business Development role is a full-time, on-site position based in Strathroy, ON. This role is responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts by building robust relationships with contractors, property managers, and homeowners. Day-to-day tasks include visiting job sites, conducting in-person consultations, preparing quotes, and presenting product options for flooring, paint, and window coverings.

The individual will follow up on leads, negotiate pricing within guidelines, and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.



Additional responsibilities include coordinating with the in-store team and installers, maintaining accurate sales records, and representing the company at local networking events and industry functions.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Sales and Business Development, with the ability to identify opportunities, present solutions, and close deals.
- Strong Customer Service and Account Management capabilities to build long-term relationships and provide ongoing support to clients.
- Experience in Field Service or working on-site with clients, including job site visits and project assessments.
- Ability to deliver Training or product education to customers and partners on flooring, paint, and window covering solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel to client sites.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and CRM tools for managing leads, quotes, and customer information.
- Knowledge of flooring, paint, or window coverings, or willingness to learn these product categories; prior experience in retail or construction is an asset.
