Overnight Cleaner

Location: Burlington Centre, Burlington, ON

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 9:45 PM to 5:45 AM

Position Type: Full time Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Cleaning and maintaining entrances, common areas, corridors, offices, washrooms, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
- Cleaning glass doors, windows, frames, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces.
- Vacuuming carpets, mats, and carpeted seating areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping, and polishing various surfaces and fixtures.
- Maintaining tables, chairs, directories, furniture, and other common area furnishings.
- Removing litter and debris from assigned areas.
- Cleaning areas that may not be accessible by floor machines.
- Reporting health and safety concerns, maintenance issues, damage, hazards, spills, or security concerns to management and/or security staff.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals safely and according to training provided.
- Assisting with periodic deep cleaning projects as required.
- Performing additional cleaning, housekeeping, sanitation, porter, and facility support duties as assigned by management.





Physical Requirements This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:

- Walk and stand for extended periods of time during the shift.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and lift as required.
- Lift and carry cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Work throughout the facility, including entrances, stairwells, washrooms, common areas, and outdoor areas when required.

Qualifications

- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Additional Information As operational needs may vary, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically listed above, provided such duties are related to cleaning, housekeeping, facility maintenance support, customer service support, or the general upkeep of the property.

Pay: $18.60 per hour
