Cowichan Brain Injury Society (CBIS) is a registered charitable organization based in Duncan, BC, serving communities throughout the Cowichan Valley Regional District. We support adults living with acquired brain injury and their families as they adapt to the effects of brain injury. Through case management, education, program facilitation, and emotional, practical, and social supports, we assist people through the many stages of rehabilitation, recovery, and community participation.

Position Description The Case Manager and Program Facilitator plays a central role in coordinating CBIS services and connecting clients with community resources. As Case Manager, responsibilities include conducting intakes, developing individualized support plans, assisting clients to identify and achieve goals, and providing ongoing support as they navigate life with brain injury. As Program Facilitator, you will plan and facilitate accessible group programs, workshops, and educational activities that respond to client needs.
This position builds collaborative relationships with community organizations to expand the range of services and supports available to survivors and their families.
Ideal Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in health or human services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience in human services
- Experience supporting survivors of brain injury
- Experience using a trauma-informed approach
- Experience planning and facilitating groups, workshops, or community-based programs
- Training or experience in mental health
- Valid BC driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current first aid and CPR certification
Employment Details
Reports to: Executive Director
Start date: Immediately but can be negotiated.
Hours: 20-24 hours per week between Tuesday and Friday, with occasional evening or weekend attendance at events.
Wage: $28.50/hr to start, increasing to $30/hr following successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
Location: CBIS office and some travel within Cowichan Valley.
