About GLOW Beauty Bar

GLOW Beauty Bar is an award-winning boutique facial spa on The Queensway in Etobicoke. Since 2014, we've built our reputation on one idea: results-driven treatments in a relaxing spa atmosphere. Our clients come to us for medical-grade facials, advanced skin technology, and personalized skincare plans, and they stay because of how they're cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

That care starts at the front desk. This is not a sit-and-answer-phones role. Our front desk is the first face and the last impression, and the person in this seat shapes how every client experiences GLOW.

The Role

We're hiring a part-time Spa Receptionist / Spa Attendant to run our front desk on weekends and Mondays.

Schedule

- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Monday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Approximately 24 hours per week, plus a short open and close on each shift. Additional hours are available for coverage and busy seasons. Full weekend availability is required for this role.

What You'll Do

Client experience

- Greet every guest by name, check clients in and out, and set the tone for their visit
- Answer calls and messages, book and rebook appointments, and manage the daily schedule
- Offer amenities such as water, tea, warm towels, and walk guests to their treatment rooms
- Handle client follow-ups, review responses, and email communication with warmth and accuracy





Sales and retention

- Recommend retail products, treatment packages, and our GLOW+ membership in a way that feels like guidance, not a pitch
- Support rebooking so clients stay on track with their skin journey

Spa operations

- Open and close the spa; keep the front desk, retail area, and guest spaces immaculate
- Turn over and restock treatment rooms between services, and support our aestheticians with sanitization
- Manage laundry, inventory counts, and supply lists
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records
- Capture before-and-after photos and help gather content for social media

Team

- Show up on time, every time
- Take part in staff meetings and training, and help us find better ways to run the spa

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 1 year in reception, front desk, hospitality, or client-facing retail
- Comfortable with booking and POS software (we use Mangomint, training provided)
- Genuinely organized, with strong follow-through and sharp attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and a warm, articulate phone manner
- Able to juggle a full lobby, a ringing phone, and a running schedule without losing composure
- Self-starter, coachable, emotionally intelligent, and a real team player
- Professional, polished presentation
- High school diploma
- Spa or aesthetics experience is a bonus,



not a requirement
- CPR certification is an asset

The Physical Side of the Role

- Standing, walking, and moving through the spa for most of the shift
- Lifting or moving up to 10 lbs
- Comfortable with cleaning duties and spa hygiene standards, including reading product safety (MSDS) labels
- Quiet to moderately quiet spa environment
