We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Warehouse Labourer to assist with pallet preparation and general warehouse duties. This is a temporary position ideal for someone who is physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment with used automotive batteries.
Temporary Assignment Details
This position is temporary and is expected to last approximately one to one and a half weeks. You will be paid for all hours worked. During that time, you will be expected to work approximately 7 to 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, depending on the workload and operational requirements.
ResponsibilitiesPallet Preparation
- Prepare pallets containing used automotive batteries
- Wrap and strap pallets securely for transport
- Ensure pallets meet packing standards and applicable regulations
- Perform heavy lifting as part of the pallet preparation process
Loading & Unloading Support
- Assist with lifting and moving used automotive batteries
- Support loading and unloading activities as required
- Work with team members to ensure safe handling and proper placement of materials
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Warehouse Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Sweep and clean warehouse floors
- Assist with power washing and general cleaning duties
- Help keep work areas secure and free of hazards
Requirements
- Ability to safely lift and carry 40-60 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical labour throughout the workday
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset but not required
