Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our small tight knit team. Operating in a restored early 1900s heritage house in Cochrane, AB we are looking for someone who can exemplify our patient care based values, treating everyone who walks through the door like a welcomed guest in our home.

This position is full-time with guaranteed hours, and will remain posted until the right candidate is found.

What You'll Be Doing

- Warmly welcome every patient by name.
- Answer all patient communications promptly, following up with that warmth and welcoming attitude promised. (communications methods include: answering/making calls, emails, and text messages.)
- Book, confirm, and reschedule appointments so the day runs smoothly for everyone.
- Check patients in and out, making sure each patient leaves knowing what happens next. (i.e. explaining what they can expect during their next visit, letting patients know where we have referred them, etc.)




- Submit and track insurance claims, explaining coverage in plain language.
- Take payments, reconcile the day, and keep all records tidy and accurate.
- Work through recall lists and reach out to patients we haven't seen in a while.
- Keep the reception area welcoming and clean.

What We're Looking For

- Front-desk, reception, or customer service experience - dental or medical experience is a bonus but not necessary.
- Confidence! In order to insure a well running clinic we will need you to have confidence in scheduling, phones, and day-to-day billing and insurance support.
- Comfort with insurance submission and predeterminations, or the willingness and excitement to learn.
- Warmth and care that carries over the phone as well as in-person.
- Organized, calm under pressure, and honest about mistakes. (We all make them!)
- Dental software experience is an asset. (Tracker, Dentrix, ClearDent, or similar)

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
