Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in various healthcare and assisted living settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

Experience in nursing homes, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need while developing valuable caregiving skills.

Duties

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Help with light housekeeping and cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals or case managers
- Assist with activities of daily living tailored to each client’s needs, including transportation to appointments or activities
- Follow care plans and adhere to medical terminology guidelines for effective communication




- Support clients in maintaining independence and quality of life through personalized care strategies

Skills

- Prior experience in nursing homes, senior care, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately and safely
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Physical capability for heavy lifting when necessary and assisting with mobility tasks
- Familiarity with medical terminology and case management processes is beneficial
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic setting
- Compassionate attitude towards elderly or disabled individuals requiring assisted living support
