We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Occupancy Technician/Site Laborer to join our team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor of a multi-family property developer, the Pre-Occupancy Technician/Site Laborer will provide ongoing support by:
- Being familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures and ensuring company health and safety policies and practices are followed on site.
- Being capable of working with minimal supervision but willing to follow directions closely.
- Regularly inspecting and monitoring the completion progress of each unit at the finishing stages.
- Documenting identified deficiencies.
- Effectively communicating deficiencies in a timely manner to appropriate trade partners for correction.
- Scheduling the deficiency work rectification and following up to confirm satisfactory completion.
- Inspecting installed finishes to confirm they are functioning as intended (eg. plugs, light switches, bulbs, thermostats).
- Ensuring daily cleanup by trades and employees
- Moving materials and equipment as directed by Site Supervisor
Skills/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a multi-family construction workplace preferred
- Basic carpentry skills an asset
Working Conditions:
- Capable of lifting 50lbs.
- PPE required
- Weather exposure
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
