Job Summary

We are looking for someone with a strong background in concrete and demolition who can not only estimate and manage projects but also help us develop new business and build relationships with clients and contractors.

This is a hands-on position for someone who understands construction, is comfortable dealing with clients, and has the drive to help grow the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Estimate concrete and demolition projects from plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Prepare accurate quotes, budgets, takeoffs, and proposals.
- Visit job sites to assess scope, measurements, access, materials, and potential challenges.
- Manage projects from initial estimate through completion.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
- Communicate with clients, general contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams.
- Monitor project costs, progress, changes, and profitability.
- Identify potential issues and find practical solutions throughout the project.
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients.
- Actively look for new project opportunities and potential clients.
- Contact general contractors, developers, property managers, and other potential customers to introduce our services.
- Follow up on leads, bids, and proposals.
- Help build and maintain a strong network within the construction industry.
- Attend site meetings, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings when required.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
- Develop accurate and comprehensive project estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or ProCore.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and civil engineering plans to assess project scope and requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in concrete construction, demolition, or both.




- Experience estimating construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, labour, and equipment.
- Experience reading construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build professional relationships and generate new business.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential costs and risks.
- Comfortable visiting construction sites and working directly with crews and clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; estimating or construction management software experience is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Safety-conscious and professional.
