Brandt Meats Ltd. is growing and we are looking for qualified applicants for the position of:

We are a meat processing company (cooked, fermented and dry cured) located in Mississauga, ON and looking for a professional, passionate and motivated quality assurance technician to join our agile QA team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance of Pre-Operation Inspections

Performance of plant inspections

Maintaining and implementing the Food Safety Programs

Perform various product analysis procedures

Prepare samples for lab analysis

Perform weekly and environmental swabs

Monitor critical control points on a daily basis

Issue and follow-up on Maintenance Work Orders

Review production and packaging Records

Perform other duties associated with monitoring and verifying the HACCP and Pre-requisite Programs

Monitor and document employee’s adherence to the company’s HACCP policies and food safety procedures – GMPs

Report any problems with the food safety management system.

Requirements:

- B.Sc. or Diploma in Food Science or related field
- One to two years meat industry experience preferred
- Background in Food Safety/QA experience is an asset
- Working well in team environment is a must




- Strong time management, planning and organizational skills with ability to manage

multiple projects
- Good oral and written communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work different hours

- Critical thinking skills
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Able to work on weekends (Occasionally)

Anticipated Schedule:

- Monday to Friday 6:30 am – 3:30 am and occasionally Saturdays
