Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Quality Coordinator to lead and coordinate quality assurance activities within our manufacturing operation. The position is responsible for product quality, PPAP development, customer and supplier quality concerns, corrective actions, internal audits, quality documentation, new product launches, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.

The successful candidate must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide Quality Team members, and perform product inspections when Quality Inspectors are unavailable.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Develop, prepare, submit, and maintain Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
- Coordinate quality activities for new product launches, production trials, sample submissions, and safe-launch activities.
- Lead quality assurance activities to ensure parts meet engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and approved standards.
- Lead, coordinate, and support Quality Team members with daily inspections, containment, documentation, and problem-solving activities.
- Manage internal and external quality concerns, including customer complaints and supplier-related issues.
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions using methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and 8D.
- Monitor corrective-action deadlines, verify implementation, and confirm the effectiveness of completed actions.
- Develop and maintain quality, production, inspection, and containment documents for new product launches.
- Review and improve existing inspection methods, quality checks, containment processes, and process controls.
- Develop, maintain, and update PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection standards, procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Support and conduct internal ISO 9001 audits and follow up on identified nonconformities and corrective actions.
- Coordinate containment, sorting,



product inspection, and certification activities when nonconforming products are identified.
- Support Quality Inspectors and perform product inspections when required.
- Monitor product and process quality through inspections, process audits, capability studies, and quality-performance data.
- Ensure measuring and inspection equipment is available, suitable, and properly calibrated.
- Maintain accurate PPAP files, inspection records, audit reports, corrective-action records, and customer documentation.
- Communicate quality concerns and requirements to customers, suppliers, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Management.
- Provide quality-related training, direction, and support to employees.
- Track quality-performance indicators and report significant trends, risks, and recurring issues to management.
- Lead continuous-improvement activities focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, customer complaints, and process variation.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, applicable standards, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a manufacturing quality role.
- Experience in plastic injection moulding is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and internal auditing.
- Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, inspection standards, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
- Experience using structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and 8D.




- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, product specifications, and customer requirements.
- Knowledge of measurement equipment, inspection methods, traceability, containment, and product-identification requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and electronic document-control systems.

Job Requirements

- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, management, employees, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively with Quality, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Management.
- Willingness to perform product inspections and quality checks when Quality Inspectors are unavailable.
- Ability and willingness to learn new processes, systems, and customer requirements through formal training and self-directed learning.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify nonconformities, investigate quality issues, and make fact-based decisions.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, including the ability to manage priorities and complete actions within established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to coordinate, guide, and support Quality Team members.
- Willingness to support production trials, new product launches, containment activities, and customer requirements.
- Commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, continual improvement, and compliance with company procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

- Annual salary of $60,000.
