What you will be doing in the role of Quality Specialist:

As a Quality Specialist, you will support Lakeside's quality programs to ensure they function effectively within an assigned business area. You will use enterprise business tools, procedural standards and internal resources to achieve quality goals and strengthen business processes.

Working with business leaders, process owners, customers, suppliers and the Compliance Team, you will interpret quality requirements, lead accreditation and re-accreditation efforts, support audits, and identify practical opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Lead root cause analyses using established quality tools, determine corrective actions for non-conformities, and monitor their completion
- Conduct quality assurance contract reviews for customer quotes and orders,



and determine quality requirements for supplier and contractor purchases
- Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters and prepare formal documented responses
- Lead quality audit preparation, conduct internal audits, represent Lakeside during external audits, and coordinate supplier qualification and audit activities
- Assess accreditation and certification opportunities, develop action plans, coordinate implementation, and support ongoing program maintenance
- Partner with business leaders and process owners to understand operational priorities and align compliance initiatives with business needs
- Collect and analyze quality data, develop reporting tools, evaluate process performance, and communicate findings to process owners
- Map processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and lead process improvement and change management initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, identify training needs, and develop quality communications and training materials
- Use enterprise systems and digital tools to improve quality processes, maintain document and record practices

Knowledge and skills required for the role:

- University degree in Quality, or a university degree with post-graduate studies in Quality
- 7-10+ years of experience in quality programs or quality-related roles, including product or service quality assurance programs
- Knowledge of quality assurance and product quality programs
- Experience with ISO 9001, N299 is considered an asset
- Experience supporting a variety of key target industries is considered an asset




- Strong adherence to procedures and policies, with sound analytical and judgment skills
- Robust planning, organization and strategic thinking skills
- Business acumen, customer focus and the ability to manage conflict professionally
- Process-oriented approach with the initiative to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong teamwork, communication, confidentiality and professionalism
