Role Summary and Purpose The Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency by monitoring project performance and ensuring adherence to established schedules across operating construction sites. This role focuses on verifying schedule accuracy, providing and tracking performance metrics, and identifying discrepancies or risks in execution. The Quantity Surveyor provides regular reporting to sites, helping ensure that project timelines remain realistic and accountable.

Responsibilities

- Ensure schedule data is accurately maintained and integrated into project tracking systems or shared reporting tools.
- Regularly review and verify project schedules submitted by sites for consistency, accuracy, and alignment with baseline timelines.
- Monitor schedule performance and progress across multiple construction sites, identifying delays, deviations, or potential issues.
- Compile, organize, and distribute performance metrics and key schedule indicators (KPIs) to relevant stakeholders on a recurring basis.
- Support project staff by flagging inconsistencies or potential risks in schedule execution.
- Prepare clear, standardized reports and dashboards summarizing schedule adherence, site performance trends, and overall project health.
- Assist in validating lookahead schedules and ensure they align with master timelines and critical milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and operations staff to gather schedule data and clarify discrepancies.




- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams to ensure awareness of project timing and schedule status.
- Perform other scheduling coordinator duties as they arise.
- Utilize AI tools/agents to provide specific reporting to sites and management.
- Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

- Post-secondary education in construction, project management, engineering or related field.
- 3+ years experience in the construction industry
- Previous experience as a project coordinator or similar role is preferred
- Professional and ethical interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advance computer skills with software such as Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel, MS Project, and scheduling tools and software.
- Experience with Bluebeam and/or Procore is an asset.
- Proficient in construction terminology.
- PMP, CCP, or MS Project certifications is an asset.
- Must have a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, navigate uneven ground, climb stairs, perform minor physical duties, see and hear well in changing conditions.
