At this time, Mazzei Electric Ltd. is hiring a Regional Manager that can be based out of our Kelowna office. The Regional Manager will be responsible for contributing to overall growth of the company, leading business development initiatives, ensuring consistency and efficiency across departments, reaching financial targets, and providing leadership and guidance to management.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

· Achieving all operational performance targets, including project timelines; cost and revenue targets; labour KPI’s; margin; safety; and, environmental compliance.

· Maintain strong and productive relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and key industry stakeholders

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the region, ensuring the office and operational teams are functioning effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively. Ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are identified and adhered to.

· Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and support to project management, service, estimating, and operational teams

· Monitor and support operational performance targets including revenue, margins, labour productivity, customer satisfaction, safety, and overall regional performance

· Develop, implement, and maintain company procedures and processes to improve consistency, communication, and operational efficiency across the region





· Meet frequently with Leadership Team to determine overall strategy, goals and processes

· Working closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

· Working closely with the Director of HR & Safety to plan labour targets, resource allocation, ensure labour efficiency, support continuous development, staff retention, and ensure the safety program is implemented and effective.

· Working closely with the Director of Service on business development and service utilization on projects, while overseeing the Service team.

· Working closely with other Regional Managers to collaborate on operational and pre-construction resources and initiatives.

· Working closely with the Superintendent to ensure all field teams are properly supported and functioning within targets set up by management and pre-plan teams.

· Participate in long-term planning, strategy development, budgeting and succession planning in the operations group.

· Working closely with the Pre-Construction Coordinator to ensure bid/resource allocation, accuracy of bidding, realistic project expectations, effective project handovers, and project post-mortems.

· Review and approve all contracts with project management and pre-construction teams.

· Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, accountability, morale, and professional development

· Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for regional growth and client retention

· Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, succession planning, and overall region development

· Lead regular team and leadership meetings to communicate goals, expectations, company initiatives, and operational updates

· Foster culture of innovation through Preplanning and Prefabrication on all projects. Ensuring they Preplanning is completed on all projects.





· Promote and uphold the company’s commitment to safety, quality, professionalism, and customer service excellence

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in the electrical or construction industry, including leadership experience running large scale multi-family residential or commercial projects.

· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting

· Experience in contract law and the claims process

· Electrical background an asset

· Strong business, operational, and financial acumen

· Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams across multiple departments

· Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

· A demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop a team of tradespeople

· Ability to instill a positive, high-performing company culture focused on safety, inclusivity, and employee development

· Competent with MS Office suite of products, Project Management software including Accubid, Bluebeam, and other contemporary Project Management tools.

· Strong understanding of service operations, estimating processes, and office administration within a construction or trades environment

· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Formal education or training in business management, leadership, or project management considered an asset
