Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RDH to join our small tight knit team. Operating in a restored early 1900s heritage house in Cochrane, AB we are looking for someone who can exemplify our patient care based values, treating everyone who walks through the door like a welcomed guest in our home. Big Hill Dental is small by design, with 3 chairs and a porch that is perfect for your morning coffee. Built for the Cochrane community - one chair, one family, one happy smile at a time.

This position has 32 guaranteed hours per week, and will remain posted until the right candidate is found.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Deliver thorough scaling, polishing, and periodontal care in appointments with room to breathe.
- Complete periodontal assessments and chart findings clearly.
- Take and review radiographs within your scope of practice.
- Teach - home care coaching that patients actually remember.
- Apply preventative treatments including fluoride and sealants.




- Flag any concerns to Dr. Caldwell and come up with a plan together, not in a hurry.
- Build long term relationships with Cochrane families across recall visits.
- Help keep the operatory and sterilization standards where they should be.

What We’re Looking For

- Active registration in valuable standing with the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists.
- Confidence in periodontal assessments, scaling, and patient education.
- Local anaesthetic certification is an asset.
- Patience with anxious patients and children with a gentle, unrushed touch.
- Comfortable working independently while staying part of a tight knit team.
- Dental software experience is an asset. (we will train you on ours either way)

Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
