Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice
- Assist in applying fluoride treatments and sealants to protect against cavities
- Review medical histories and update patient records accurately using dental management software such as Dentrix
- Support the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring sterilization protocols are followed
- Provide compassionate care to Pediatric and Geriatric Patients
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure understanding
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment area while adhering to all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proficiency with our dental practice management software like Tracker for scheduling, record keeping is an asset, but will be trained
- Strong customer service skills to create a positive patient experience from check-in to checkout
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
