Join our unique early childhood education team as a Registered Early Childhood Educator, where you can gain experience in the Early Childhood Field. You will have the opportunity to create engaging, and inclusive environment that promotes learning, development, and well-being for children. Your will work with our seasoned staff to gain experience and support children’s growth through activities and guidance.

This is a 6 month contract position an opportunity to make a meaningful difference, connections and gain experience in the preschool and School Age Workplace.

Duties

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support individual needs, including those of children with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, behavior, and daily activities to inform planning and communication.




- Support inclusive practices by adapting activities for bilingual children or those with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Uphold licensing standards and organizational policies related to health, safety, and child protection.
- Utilize computer skills to record attendance, update records, and communicate effectively with families and team members.

Qualifications

- Valid registration as an Early Childhood Educator and relevant Diploma
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C
- Valid Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sectors.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages is considered an asset for the families in the community.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education best practices, and special education needs.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is an asset.
- Demonstrated teamwork abilities with organizational and time management skills.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
