Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's unique needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, daily routines, and incident reports using computer-based systems.
- Communicate effectively with children using clear language and active listening skills; engage in positive guidance strategies.
- Lead classroom activities that incorporate bilingual instruction (English and French) to support language development.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently by organizing materials,



scheduling activities, and ensuring compliance with licensing standards.

Requirements

- Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent credential recognized by local licensing authorities.
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; familiarity with classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of child development principles and special education practices to support diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to document progress clearly and collaborate with families and team members.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in basic computer operation, documentation software, and classroom management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, guide children positively, and foster an inclusive atmosphere.
