Job Title: Registered Nurse (ED)
Location: Hamilton, ON
Schedule: Casual
Shift: 12 Hour Shifts (Monday to Friday) 7am to 7am
Hourly Rate of Pay: $60.00 to $64.00
Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) specialized in working in the Emergency Department to join our amazing team working in Southwestern Ontario Area hospitals. We’re ready when you are!
Under the direction of the facility charge nurse, you will provide care according to the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full-12hour shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient triage and comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, intravenous therapies, and emergency interventions.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and emergency resuscitation efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Advocate for patient safety, quality care, and adherence to infection prevention and control standards.
- Support patients and families during stressful and crisis situations with professionalism and compassion.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards,
and regulatory requirements.

- BSCN, Registered Nurse Diploma
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Proof of PLP as mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Able to work with persons with Infectious diseases
- ACLS &
- BLS Certificate Required
- Critical Care Certificate (for ICU applicants)
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV); proof of negative TB skin test within 1 year
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Room/Critical Care Unit
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
