Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in the operating room, in both the scrub nurse and circulator roles.

Duties

- Provide perioperative patient care using the nursing process in accordance with CRNA, Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC), and CSA standards of practice.
- Demonstrate competence in delivering protected, effective and efficient care in both the scrub nurse and circulator nurse role as an integral part of the surgical team.
- Must be able to meet the require physical demands of the position which include lifting, pulling and pushing, walking, standing, transferring and transporting patients and equipment frequently.
- Provide direct, safe patient care throughout the patient stay in the surgical suite.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using appropriate medical terminology.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols.

Requirements





- Completion of accredited nursing program and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with CRNA.
- Post graduate course in perioperative nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- 2-3 years clinical experience in an operating room setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to diverse populations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet patient needs.

Job Type: Casual Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
