Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion Clinic

About StrataInfusion

StrataInfusion is a modern private infusion and wellness clinic located inside Champagne Centre, one of the GTA's largest integrated health and wellness complexes.

Champagne Centre is a 270,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility bringing together healthcare, diagnostics, wellness and related services under one roof. The Centre is home to a broad range of medical professionals and services, including family and specialty medicine, North York General Hospital outpatient clinics, LifeLabs, diagnostic services, rehabilitation, pharmacy and other healthcare providers. The facility offers barrier-free access and approximately 450 free parking spaces.

This multidisciplinary environment provides StrataInfusion with an excellent setting for delivering convenient, professional and patient-focused infusion care.

Our clinic provides medical and wellness infusion services, including iron infusions, biologic and specialty medication infusions, IV hydration and other physician- or practitioner-directed IV therapies.

As StrataInfusion continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time as patient volume increases.

About the Position

This is a hands-on nursing position. We are specifically looking for an RN who is highly confident and experienced with peripheral IV insertion and infusion therapy.

Strong practical IV insertion skills are essential for this position.

In addition to direct patient care, the successful candidate should have practical experience working in a private, outpatient or ambulatory clinical setting and be comfortable assisting with clinical policies, procedures, protocols and day-to-day clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform patient intake, nursing assessments, vital signs and pre-infusion screening
- Independently establish peripheral IV access and demonstrate excellent IV insertion skills
- Prepare IV tubing, infusion systems, pumps and required clinical supplies
- Administer prescribed IV therapies, including iron infusions, biologics, specialty medications,



hydration and other approved IV treatments within scope and clinic protocols
- Monitor patients before, during and following infusions
- Recognize infusion reactions, hypersensitivity, anaphylaxis and other clinical changes and respond appropriately
- Follow established emergency-response and escalation protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow medication administration, storage and handling procedures
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, aseptic technique and patient safety
- Assist with development, implementation and ongoing review of clinical policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with emergency-response protocols, medication policies, infection-control procedures and clinical documentation standards
- Support quality assurance, incident reporting and continuous improvement of clinical operations
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, naturopathic doctors, RPNs and administrative staff
- Assist with maintaining an organized, efficient and professional clinical environment

Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Strong hands-on peripheral IV insertion skills – mandatory
- Demonstrated recent experience independently establishing peripheral IV access
- Practical experience administering IV medications and managing infusion therapy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Robust patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Knowledge of infusion reactions, anaphylaxis and emergency-response procedures
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC), medication safety and aseptic technique
- Strong understanding of CNO professional standards and documentation requirements
- Ability to work independently in a private outpatient clinical environment




- Excellent communication, organizational and patient-care skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a private infusion clinic, specialty clinic, outpatient clinic or other ambulatory healthcare setting
- Experience administering iron infusions
- Experience administering biologics and specialty medications
- Experience developing, implementing or maintaining clinical policies, procedures and SOPs
- Experience with clinical quality assurance, incident reporting and regulatory compliance
- Experience with EMR systems and electronic clinical documentation

Who We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in an RN who combines excellent hands-on nursing ability with an understanding of how a private clinic operates.

The ideal candidate is comfortable starting IVs independently, managing infusion patients and responding to clinical situations while also contributing practical knowledge to policies, procedures and safe clinic operations.

For this position, demonstrated IV insertion proficiency and infusion experience will be an important part of our candidate selection process.
