About the Role

Tenant.ca is looking for a motivated and results-driven Remote Sales Specialist to help grow our network of landlords, property owners, real estate investors, and property management clients.

The primary responsibility of this role is to identify prospective clients, understand their rental and property management needs, introduce them to Tenant.ca’s services, and convert qualified opportunities into active clients.

You will communicate directly with landlords and property owners through phone calls, email, video meetings, online inquiries, and outbound sales outreach.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident communicating with customers, comfortable with sales targets, organized with follow-ups, and capable of clearly explaining the value of a technology-driven real estate service.

What You’ll Be Selling

As a Sales Specialist, you will introduce property owners to Tenant.ca’s leasing and property management solutions based on their individual needs.

These services may include

- Tenant Placement – Helping landlords advertise their properties, attract prospective tenants, coordinate showings, process applications, screen applicants, and complete the leasing process.
- Property Management – Providing ongoing support with tenant communication, rent monitoring, maintenance coordination, property operations, notices, and other day-to-day management responsibilities.
- Tenant Screening – Helping landlords evaluate applicants using identity, employment, income, credit, references, documentation, and other screening information.




- Property Marketing – Helping owners professionally present and advertise their rental properties through digital marketing, listing exposure, and professional media.
- Maintenance Coordination – Helping landlords manage maintenance requests, repairs, and communication with service providers.
- Tenant.ca Platform – Providing landlords with access to tools for managing listings, applications, tenant communication, documents, maintenance, leasing activity, and property operations.

Responsibilities
- Identify and contact prospective landlords, property owners, real estate investors, and property management clients.
- Conduct outbound sales outreach through phone calls, email, online messaging, and other lead-generation channels.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from landlords interested in Tenant.ca’s services.
- Speak with prospective clients to understand their properties, vacancies, rental objectives, and management needs.
- Explain Tenant.ca’s services clearly and recommend the most appropriate solution for each client.
- Educate landlords on how Tenant.ca can help reduce vacancy, improve tenant quality, reduce risk, and simplify property management.
- Conduct virtual presentations or demonstrations of Tenant.ca’s platform and services when appropriate.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients throughout the sales process.
- Convert qualified prospects into active Tenant.ca clients.
- Assist new clients through the initial onboarding and property submission process.
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, investors, real estate professionals, and property owners.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, opportunities, follow-ups, and sales activity within the company CRM.
- Manage an organized sales pipeline and prioritize high-intent opportunities.
- Work toward individual sales, client acquisition, and revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional Tenant.ca services to existing clients.
- Collect feedback from landlords and communicate relevant insights to management, marketing, operations, and product teams.
- Maintain a professional understanding of Tenant.ca’s services, pricing, platform features, and value proposition.

- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand a customer’s needs and recommend an appropriate solution.

- Comfortable working toward measurable sales targets.
- Ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities at different stages of the sales process.
- Comfortable learning and demonstrating online software and technology platforms.

Preferred Experience Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:

Previous real estate or property management experience is beneficial but is not required. Training on Tenant.ca’s platform, services, and sales process will be provided. What Success Looks Like A successful Tenant.ca Sales Specialist:

- Consistently generates conversations with landlords and property owners.
- Responds quickly and professionally to new sales opportunities.
- Understands each client’s individual situation before recommending a service.
- Maintains consistent and organized follow-up with prospective clients.
- Develops and maintains a healthy sales pipeline.
- Converts qualified landlords into active Tenant.ca clients.
- Meets or exceeds individual sales and client acquisition targets.
- Builds strong relationships with property owners that can lead to additional properties, services, and referrals.
- Represents Tenant.ca professionally throughout every stage of the customer relationship.

Work Environment This is a remote position.

Most sales activity will take place through phone calls, email, video meetings, CRM communication, and other digital channels.

The ideal candidate is comfortable independently managing their daily workflow, maintaining consistent communication with the Tenant.ca team, and taking ownership of their sales pipeline and results.
