Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of building renovation, including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, and finishing techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial renovations, utilizing a wide range of construction skills and tools.
The Renovator will be responsible for executing renovation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively
- Perform carpentry tasks such as cabinet installation, framing, and general woodwork
- Conduct concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to ensure durable and high-quality results
- Install flooring, tiles, and other surface finishes with precision
- Execute electrical and plumbing installations or repairs in compliance with safety standards
- Apply caulking, painting, restoration techniques, and other finishing touches to complete projects
- Estimate construction costs and materials for project planning and execution
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, renovation, or related fields with a strong understanding of building processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and tile laying preferred
- Experience with construction estimating is a plus
- Robust problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
- Valid license or relevant certifications are desirable but not mandatory depending on the project requirements
