Join CMHA-WECB as a Residential Support Worker providing essential support for mental health and housing goals. This temporary midnight role enhances recovery and life skills for clients. In this position, you will work directly with clients in the Safe Beds program, helping them identify their recovery paths and facilitating life skills development.
Your focus will be on admitting clients and ensuring their safety while fostering an environment conducive to goal achievement. You will link clients to valuable community resources for ongoing support. Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with police to evaluate and admit clients
- Monitor client well-being during their residential stay
- Assist in developing individualized care and life skills plans
- Conduct community outreach for client support
- Evaluate program effectiveness and client satisfaction
Requirements:
- Diploma in a related field such as Recreation Therapy
- Strong assessment and organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Must hold a valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Computer literacy with Microsoft applications necessary
