Description Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients in acute and critical care settings, including the ICU, Emergency Department, Trauma Centre, and Burn Unit.

Responsibilities include managing mechanical ventilation, supporting airway management procedures, performing respiratory assessments, and responding to emergency situations as a member of Code Blue, Trauma, and Rapid Response Teams. The ideal candidate has solid critical care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment. Current CRTO registration and BCLS certification are required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario (CRTO)

Degree/Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Must hold current certification in BCLS

Previous experience in Acute Care and Critical Care environments

Thoroughly familiar with and competent in all aspects of Respiratory Therapy

Demonstrated clinical and technical ability

Mature, independent and self-motivated

Demonstrated ability to integrate and apply critical thinking skills

Demonstrated ability to handle stressful environment

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Effective communication skills

Commitment to personal and professional development

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.13 - $53.76/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
