We're looking for a full-time Rigger Technician to join our Continental Chain & Rigging Branch in Red Deer Alberta .

The work you do here has a purpose.
What You'll Do
- Measure and build wire rope and chain slings to exact customer specifications while meeting quality and manufacturing standards
- Install winch cable onto bed trucks with precision and care
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements and fabrication instructions — full training is provided
- Operate hydraulic presses and accurately use measuring equipment as part of your daily work
- Work confidently with tools and equipment including grinders, cut-off saws, cutting torches and spoolers
- Properly tag outgoing products and shipments to ensure accurate customer fulfillment
- Monitor wire rope inventory, communicate when materials are running low, receive incoming supplies and document material usage
- Support other areas of the shop when needed and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused workplace
What You'll Bring
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy shop environment
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment and hands-on fabrication tasks
- Dependability and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Good organizational skills
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada; immigration or Permanent Residency sponsorship is not available for this position
Experience is an asset,
but potential matters too. Previous rigging, fabrication, oil and gas, crane, mechanical, manufacturing or warehouse experience is an asset, but previous rigging experience is not required. If you have the mechanical aptitude, work ethic and willingness to learn, we'll teach you the technical skills required to succeed.
First Aid and forklift certifications are also assets but are not required at the time of hire.
