We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a robust understanding of roofing materials, safety protocols, and construction techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, or flat roofing membranes
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs efficiently and safely
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to secure roofing components in place
- Perform caulking around roof penetrations to prevent leaks
- Assist with heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Maintain a clean work site by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing, construction, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation to job sites
