Roofing Estimator – Public Tenders iTeck Roofing Inc. is hiring an experienced Roofing Estimator for commercial and public-sector tender work.

This is not an entry-level or training position . The successful candidate must already understand construction estimating, be capable of working independently, and require only normal company and process orientation. We are not looking for someone who needs to be taught the fundamentals of estimating, reading drawings or preparing bids.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, bid forms and contract documents

• Complete accurate roofing, waterproofing and sheet-metal takeoffs

• Prepare labour, material, equipment and subcontractor estimates

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations

• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, qualifications and pricing risks

• Complete compliant public tender submissions before closing deadlines

• Review bonding, insurance, bid security and mandatory tender requirements

• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings





• Submit RFIs and track tender addenda

• Maintain organized estimating files and complete project handovers after award

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct construction estimating experience

• Commercial roofing estimating experience strongly preferred

• Public tender experience required

• Ability to read drawings and specifications independently

• Working knowledge of roofing, waterproofing and sheet-metal systems

• Proficiency with PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Excel

• Proven ability to manage multiple tender deadlines

• Valid Ontario driver’s licence

• Reliable vehicle and willingness to attend site visits

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
