Role Overview The Corrections Systems Portfolio is seeking a Senior Software Developer (L3) with 10+ years of experience to support critical application development initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and providing break/fix support for applications within the portfolio. The role requires strong experience translating business requirements and functional specifications into stable, secure, scalable, and fully tested applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.

Project Scope The successful candidate will support the development of an integrated risk assessment platform that connects with the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).

The Platform Will Integrate

- Ontario Domestic Assault Risk Assessment

The solution will enable the appropriate risk assessment tools to be accessed based on offender information available in OTIS and will support a people-centred, innovative, and inclusive correctional system.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

- Design, build, and maintain secure, secure, and scalable web and desktop applications.
- Translate business requirements and functional specifications into working, tested applications.
- Design, code, unit test, troubleshoot, and enhance applications.
- Provide break/fix and production support for critical portfolio solutions.

- Perform capacity planning and forecasting.

- Standard working hours are 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding breaks, Monday to Friday, unless otherwise identified.
- The position is under the CRJMC security level.
- Extension is probable following the initial mandate.

VOR Master Service Agreement The VOR Master Service Agreement expires on April 5, 2027, with a six-month survival clause allowing the Statement of Work to continue, if operationally required, until October 5, 2027. Any extension is subject to unused days and/or remaining contract funds. No additional funds will be added beyond the maximum contract value and extension options included in the original SOW. JTS may exercise available extension options beyond April 5, 2027, in accordance with the survival clause.
