Duties
- Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and fitting procedures
- Prepare and process optical prescriptions using electronic health record systems
- Support optometrists during eye examinations and patient consultations
- Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies
- Perform basic laboratory tasks including lens edging and adjustments
- Educate patients on lens options, maintenance, and proper eyewear care
- Handle retail sales transactions and assist with product displays
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure patient satisfaction and retention
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is preferred
- Laboratory experience or optical experience is highly desirable
- Experience in retail sales or sales-driven roles is a plus
- Familiarity with optical equipment and systems
- Previous experience in retail management or supervisory roles is beneficial but not required
- Robust interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
