About Astrix
Astrix Strategic Partners helps founders build stronger businesses through strategy, systems, and execution, with AI used where it creates practical value. We work closely with a small number of companies to understand how they operate and help them grow.
About the role
We are hiring a co-op student who wants to learn how to sell through hands-on outreach and frequent conversations with potential clients. You will work directly with Astrix leadership to find prospects, refine your pitch, follow up, and generate meetings.
You will learn by doing: researching companies, reaching out, asking questions, and improving your approach with feedback. As you gain confidence, you will take more ownership of prospect conversations and help move sales opportunities forward.
What you will do
- Research potential clients and build targeted prospect lists.
- Reach out by email, LinkedIn, and phone to start conversations and book meetings.
- Practise and refine your pitch so you can clearly explain Astrix’s services.
- Ask questions, listen to prospects, and identify their needs and interest.
- Follow up consistently, respond to questions, and confirm next steps.
- Support sales meetings with brief research, notes, and follow-up materials.
- Keep the CRM up to date with contacts, outreach activity, conversations, and meetings.
- Test outreach messages with the team and use feedback to improve results.
What you bring
- Current enrolment in business, commerce, entrepreneurship, marketing, or a related post-secondary program.
- Clear written communication and a willingness to speak with current people, including business owners.
- An interest in sales, entrepreneurship, and how businesses use AI.
- Initiative, persistence, and the ability to stay positive when outreach does not get a response.
- Organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
- Openness to coaching and a willingness to practise and improve.
Helpful experience
Sales, customer service, fundraising, student clubs, volunteering, or a side project can all be useful preparation. Familiarity with CRM systems, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, or AI tools is an asset. Previous sales experience is welcome but not required.
What you will learn
- How to find prospects, start conversations, and turn outreach into meetings.
- How to refine a sales pitch, ask useful questions, and handle objections.
- How to organize a sales pipeline and follow up at the right time.
Why join Astrix
Work directly with a founder, receive practical feedback, and gain exposure to real businesses and client needs. Build confidence through frequent conversations and take on more responsibility as your skills grow.
Success in this co-op
Success means consistent, thoughtful outreach; better prospect conversations; qualified meetings booked; accurate CRM records; and reliable follow-through. We will also look at how you apply feedback and improve your pitch over the term.
