We are seeking an Intermediate Salesforce Engineer to join an established Salesforce Service Cloud product team on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will join an existing agile product squad responsible for maintaining and enhancing multiple features across the organization’s Salesforce Service Cloud platform.
Unlike a fixed-scope implementation project, this team operates as a long-running product team that continuously delivers platform improvements, new capabilities, enhancements, and support for customer-facing systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Salesforce development experience with sound technical judgment, independent problem-solving abilities, and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance features within Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Support multiple feature streams across the Service Cloud environment.
- Evaluate business and technical requirements and determine when to use Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality versus custom development.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, technical partners, and other squad members.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical discussions, and other agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce platform issues.
- Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Support continuous product development rather than a single fixed project initiative.
- Make well-reasoned technical decisions and explain the rationale behind them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong experience developing and supporting solutions within Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce platform fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to assess out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities versus custom development.
- Experience working within an established agile product squad or long-running product team.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate credibly about Salesforce architecture and design decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently without relying on generative AI tools.
- Availability to work Pacific Time hours.
Strong Asset
- Experience or meaningful exposure to Salesforce Agentforce or related agentic Salesforce capabilities.

Technical capability alone will not be sufficient. The hiring team is looking for someone who can contribute effectively within a highly collaborative product environment.
Work Environment
- Fully remote.
- Candidates must be available to work Pacific Time hours.

Contract Details
- 6 months Initial contract.
- There is a strong likelihood of extension
- Strong contractors may be considered for longer-term engagement when opportunities are available.
