Traverse Independenceprimarily supports individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) to live independently in the community. As a centre of excellence, we empower and connect clients on their journey to independence. We offer a comprehensive range of services across the continuum of care, including:

Job Overview As a full time Scheduling Specialist, you will report to the Manager of Community Services, and will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive scheduling services and recommending solutions to ensure minimum staffing levels are met and maintained, coordinate site coverage, and assume ownership of filling both scheduled and unscheduled absences
- Approving overtime when necessary, according to guidelines provided
- Monitoring and coordinating absence and scheduling documentation/information
- Updating and maintaining all scheduling documents including but not limited to call-sheets and master schedules
- Maintaining current knowledge of the collective agreement, relevant Acts and Regulations
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in compliance with policies, procedures, legislation,
and regulation and identifying non-compliance for resolution
- Availability to support site coverage throughout scheduled shifts as well as on-call responsibilities including early mornings, evenings, and alternating weekends.
Status:Full Time (Non-Bargaining Unit), hybrid role working approximately 30.0 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with applicable business courses
- Skilled in current software programs including advanced Microsoft Office and Windows
- Minimum one year experience in administrative duties
- Experience with scheduling software and HRIS an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, while handling multiple tasks and working effectively as a team member
- Awareness and observance of confidentiality in relation to clients and staff
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of persons with disabilities
- Current knowledge of Collective Agreement, ESA, and any other relevant legislation
