Secondary is a Catholic high school serving Grades 8–12 in North Vancouver, with an enrollment of approximately 615 students. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counsellor to join our staff to cover a maternity leave from October 2026 to October 2027. The successful candidate will provide personal, academic, and career counselling services to students in a supportive, Christ-centred environment, collaborating with staff and parents to promote student well-being and success.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide individual and small-group counselling to support students' mental health, personal development, and well-being.
- Offer academic advising and assist students with course selection, post-secondary planning, and career exploration.
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to support student learning and growth.




- Provide crisis intervention and referrals to outside agencies when appropriate.
- Contribute to the development of a positive, caring, and faith-based school climate.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Educational Counselling, or related field.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or BC School Counsellors’ Association preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents in a school setting is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and support of the mission and values of CISVA.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team supporting the holistic development of students.
