Temporary Security Guard A private security company is seeking reliable, professional and vigilant licensed Security Guards for a temporary event security contract.
This position involves working outdoors and interacting directly with the public. Guards will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, assisting patrons and conducting entry screening using walk-through metal detectors. Candidates must be comfortable working in a busy public environment and providing professional customer service while maintaining a high level of alertness.
Responsibilities include:
- Screen patrons entering the event using walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct secondary screening when required
- Interact professionally and respectfully with the public
- Provide directions and assistance to patrons when needed
- Monitor entrances and maintain a visible security presence
- Identify and respond appropriately to prohibited items or security concerns
- Follow established screening and security procedures
- Maintain regular communication with supervisors
- Report incidents, concerns or unusual activity to supervisors
- Complete accurate incident reports when required
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Reliable and punctual
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a busy public environment
- Able to remain alert and attentive for the entire shift
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable conducting security screening and dealing with members of the public
- Appropriate clothing for changing outdoor weather conditions
