Castle Cheese is looking for an experienced, hands-on Second Shift Manager to join our team. (Please note the wage range is approximate - actual wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications).

This is a working management position responsible for supporting and overseeing afternoon and evening operations. The successful candidate will work closely with existing management during the transition between shifts, provide operational support as required, and take responsibility for leading the evening team and ensuring the facility is prepared for the following day's operations.

We are looking for a strong manager or supervisor who is comfortable being actively involved with their team—not someone who wants to manage from an office. Previous food manufacturing or sanitation experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate second-shift activities and priorities.
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and training to employees.
- Work alongside employees and provide hands-on support when required.
- Monitor performance and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established standards.
- Coordinate evening cleaning, sanitation, and facility activities.
- Communicate operational, maintenance, staffing, and other issues to management.
- Assist with maintaining and improving procedures, schedules, training materials, and other operational documentation.




- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and overall shift performance.
- Ensure food safety, quality, safety, and company standards are consistently maintained.
- Perform other management and operational duties as required.

- Comfortable working independently during the evening shift.
- A willingness to learn our operation and develop new skills.

Experience in food manufacturing, production, sanitation, warehousing, or a similar environment is an asset, but training will be provided.

This position is intended to grow with the operation. As the successful candidate becomes established and develops an understanding of our facility and processes, there will be opportunities to take on additional operational responsibilities as our second-shift operations develop.
