Job Summary

Zentra Protection is seeking an active, energetic, and dependable Security Supervisor who can take overall responsibility for ground-level security operations across multiple client sites.

This is a hands-on operational role and is not limited to office-based supervision. The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling regularly to sites in Chilliwack and nearby cities throughout the Fraser Valley and, when required, other service areas.

The ideal candidate will understand the security industry, professional work ethics, guard management, client expectations, and the importance of reliable site coverage.

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring sites operate smoothly, coordinating guards, handling urgent staffing requirements, conducting site visits, supporting recruitment, responding to incidents, and maintaining robust communication between management, clients, and field employees.

The successful candidate must also be willing to remain available on-call when required and should be capable of responding to urgent operational needs within approximately 1–2 hours when reasonably required.

Key Responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for smooth ground operations across assigned security sites.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support security guards working at multiple locations.
- Regularly travel to client sites in Chilliwack and nearby Fraser Valley cities for inspections, staff support, training, incident response, and operational requirements.
- Remain available for on-call operational support when required, including responding to urgent staffing or site issues within approximately 1–2 hours where necessary.
- Ensure all scheduled shifts are properly covered and resolve last-minute absences, call-outs, or staffing shortages.




- Recruit, screen, and coordinate security personnel based on upcoming contracts and operational manpower requirements.
- Assist with guard onboarding, site orientation, training, uniform standards, and deployment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and employee performance checks.
- Ensure guards understand and follow site-specific post orders, client instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and overall performance.
- Coordinate with security personnel whenever additional support, direction, or escalation is required.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, client concerns, emergencies, and operational problems.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, management, employees, and emergency responders where required.
- Review and ensure accurate completion of incident reports, daily activity reports, patrol records, and other operational documentation.
- Identify operational weaknesses and take proactive steps to prevent service failures.
- Assist management with scheduling, manpower planning, new site launches, and emergency coverage.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure Zentra Protection's service standards are consistently maintained.
- Be prepared to personally attend sites and assist with operational duties when necessary to keep services running smoothly.

Requirements
- Previous experience in the security industry is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory, field operations, site management, or team-lead experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of security industry standards, professional conduct, and work ethics.
- Valid British Columbia Security Worker Licence or other required certification.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle.




- Must be willing and able to travel frequently between security sites in Chilliwack and surrounding cities.
- Must have reasonable flexibility for on-call and emergency operational requirements.
- Ability to respond calmly, professionally, and decisively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to recruit, coordinate, motivate, and manage security personnel.
- Strong communication and client-service skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using mobile applications, email, scheduling systems, and reporting tools.
- Physically capable of conducting site visits and patrol checks when required.
- Must be reliable, proactive, accountable, and able to work with limited supervision.
