Seed Processing Assistants are involved in all facets of seed processing within our location. Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include:
- Cleaning processing equipment, receiving, sorting, counting, labeling, and packaging.
- May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
- Activities will require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or one year of related experience may be required.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.
- Must be able to adhere to all Monsanto SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.
- Basic mechanical ability / understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment) may be required.
Additional Info
- These contractors are needed for seasonal work for seed processing.
- Must have a completed high school diploma.
- Start in the morning with meeting with team, one station would prepare envelopes, seed treat, count seed using seed counter, sort envelopes and place in planting order. Would also require packaging and using bar code scanners.
- Since this is seasonal work, some contractors may be extended but the main term is to complete seed processing.
- Will be conducting in person interviews.
- We need someone who doesn't mind doing repetitive tasks for a couple of months. May require longer hours and potentially some Saturday work as needed.
