The successful candidate will ensure purchasing activities achieve best value while complying with City policies, applicable trade agreements, legal requirements, budget constraints, and project schedules. This role will also contribute to improving procurement systems and processes, identifying and managing supply-chain risks, and providing guidance and training to procurement staff and internal clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has completed Grade 12 or equivalent and holds a professional supply chain designation, such as SCMP or CSCL, or a related degree or diploma, combined with at least five years of progressively responsible experience performing complex procurement functions. Please note, this is a new and classification that is under review by the union subject to change. The City of Mission offers a collaborative work workplace, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, upon completion of probation.
