Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Exco Extrusion Dies, Markham, Ontario

Industry: Extrusion Die and Mold Machining

Experience

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the metal machining industry, including:

- CNC programming for both milling and turning
- Experience working with machine controls such as FANUC, Mitsubishi, and Heidenhain
- Strong practical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing techniques

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Test and develop cutting tools, machining techniques, and manufacturing methods, with a primary focus on milling applications both before and after heat treatment
- Develop and optimize CNC machine macro programs, with a focus on automation and process efficiency
- Develop machine shop applications and automation solutions in collaboration with the IT team
- Guide and support the CAM development team
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical issues within the machine shop
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes, productivity,



quality, and automation
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to other team members as required
- Travel internationally for short-term assignments as required

Skills and Qualities

Strong fundamentals in mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, and machining principles are essential. The successful candidate will be:

Education

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Compensation

- Competitive salary: $90,000–$110,000
