We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Computer Application Support Specialist (CAS) to provide on-site service desk, application, systems, account, and technical support for the 4th Canadian Division Signal Squadron.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting end users in a networking environment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, supporting Active Directory, and working with IT service management/ticketing systems.

Key Responsibilities

- 1st line service desk and technical support to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, system, printer, and CPU-related issues.
- Provide technical support through remote connections when required.
- Support users in a networking environment and troubleshoot connectivity-related issues.
- Configure and support network software and ensure compatibility between applications, utilities, hardware, and peripherals.
- Support commonly used software applications, operating systems, and communication protocols.
- Assist with system configuration and ensure systems operate efficiently and productively.
- Provide support for communication features and related technologies.
- Perform account management activities , including account creation, modification, movement, and transfers.
- Support and manage user accounts and objects within Active Directory (AD) .
- Assist with file management and other Active Directory-related activities.




- Provide technical support for cloud-based applications .
- Log, update, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using online IT service management/ticketing systems .
- Diagnose issues, document resolutions, and elevate complex incidents when required.
- Provide professional customer service and clear communication to end users.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Candidates should have demonstrated experience in:
- Networking environments
- Network software configuration and support
- Operating systems and commonly used software applications
- Communication protocols and communication features
- Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting
- Printer troubleshooting
- CPU/system troubleshooting
- 1st line service desk/help desk support
- Remote technical support
- User account creation and modification
- Account movement/transfer
- Active Directory
- File and object management
- Cloud-based applications
- IT service management/ticketing systems
- Strong Asset

EITSM Assyst experience will be considered a strong asset and may receive preference.

Security Clearance – Mandatory

Valid Reliability Clearance is mandatory.

Candidates must be able to provide proof of their security clearance .

The contract start date is subject to the candidate having a valid VCR .

This is a 100% on-site position . Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site in Petawawa, Ontario for the full contract duration.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior IT support professional with strong hands-on experience in service desk support, networking, Active Directory, account administration, troubleshooting, cloud applications, and ITSM environments .

Candidates who have experience supporting government, military, defense, or enterprise IT environments are encouraged to apply.
