Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join their operations team in Kimberley. This role is essential for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of complex control systems that drive their manufacturing processes. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to enhance system performance, ensure reliability, and troubleshoot issues.
This is an in office position where you will work closely with production and maintenance teams to maintain operational excellence. Design, program, and commission advanced control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA for industrial automation. Develop and optimize control strategies to improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
Troubleshoot complex control system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new equipment and technologies into existing control systems. Maintain and update control system documentation, including logic, schematics, and network configurations.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians and operators on control systems. Lead initiatives for system upgrades and modernization projects.
