About The Role Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Forest Manager to oversee significant forestry operations near Gatineau . This role is critical for ensuring the sustainable management, conservation, and responsible utilization of extensive forest resources.

You will lead strategic planning, operational execution, and environmental stewardship initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of forestry science, resource management principles, and regulatory compliance within the Quebec region. You will play a key role in maintaining ecological balance, maximizing resource value, and adhering to stringent environmental standards in all aspects of forest management.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive forest management plans, including harvesting, reforestation, and conservation strategies. Supervise forestry crews and contractors, ensuring safe and efficient operations in compliance with provincial regulations. Conduct ecological assessments, biodiversity monitoring, and implement strategies for forest health and pest management.

Manage budgets, resource allocation, and operational logistics for all forestry activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, permits,

Registered Professional

Forester designation in Quebec or eligible for immediate registration. Extensive knowledge of forest ecology, silviculture, GIS applications, and forest inventory techniques. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable forestry practices in Canada.
