Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Data Specialist to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The successful candidate will bring robust hands-on data engineering experience, including streaming technologies and real-time or near-real-time data pipelines.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop data processing, transformation, and integration workflows.
- Build real-time and near-real-time streaming solutions.
- Work with large-scale datasets using Google Cloud data services.
- Design and maintain data models and cloud-based data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and operational reliability.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline and query performance.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- Senior-level hands-on data engineering experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow / Apache Beam, Kafka / Confluent, or streaming into BigQuery.
- Experience with real-time or near-real-time pipelines and event-driven solutions.
- Experience with data transformation, integration, modelling, and large-scale datasets.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.



Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 –$135,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
