Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of Fred Victor's first community bond/impact investment campaign.
- Serve as Fred Victor's primary internal liaison with Tapestry Community Capital, the retained consultant supporting structuring of the bond offering, sales strategy, and execution of the community bond campaign.
- Build and execute a sales process, including an investor engagement strategy across segments: foundations, faith-based institutions, portfolio managers, banking partners, retail/individual investors.
- Identify and represent Fred Victor at conferences, panels, and sector events related to social finance, impact investing, and community bonds, to build visibility and credibility for the Campaign.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with foundation partners, to attract Program-Related Investments (PRIs) and Mission-Related Investments (MRIs) as a capital stream distinct from traditional grants.
- Lead due diligence preparations.
- Create and implement a data room for investors, business case, and offering statement.
- Represent Fred Victor in investor pitches and meetings.
- Maintain relationships with investors, community partners, and government funders (CMHC, Build Canada Homes, City of Toronto MURA/Capital Funding Stream).
- Coordinate with Philanthropy & Communications to keep donor vs.
investor messaging distinct and complementary.
- Support funding applications to federal/provincial/municipal governments.
- Provide regular reports to the VP of Finance.
- Provide regular fund performance/portfolio reporting to investors and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Admin, or related; Masters preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in impact capital raising, investor relations, business development
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising
- Experience with community bonds/impact investment products (or comparable capital markets/donor relations experience)
- Familiarity with foundation investment vehicles and experience navigating foundation due diligence, approval processes, and reporting expectations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; able to tailor messaging for institutional and retail investors
- Proven experience building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience developing and delivering regular stakeholder reporting
- Comfort with public speaking, media engagement, and investor-facing presentations
- Ability to work independently in a newly created role while collaborating with Finance and Fundraising teams and consultants.
